Listen to our stories
I’ve been collecting and sharing quotes for many years. At first I searched for themes both in my quote collection books and online. While I found endless thought wonders this way, I noticed that my searches were coming up short with voices of women, and especially women of color. So I changed my search approach. I am now finding a variety of women’s voices so I can share more inclusive points of view.
Our identities and experiences are constantly shifting, and storytelling is how we make sense of it. We feel what they feel. We empathize. We have new questions to ponder and explore. And hopefully we have new ways for all of us to live more fully and freely in our worlds.
Quotes provide morsels of thought that shed light on these varied identities and experiences. We feel connected and inspired. Hearing from an endless variety of amazing women all over the world and through out time got me imagining them sitting with each other to share. What might come from those connections? Listen to our stories explores this vision.
